TVITEC CRICURSA has significantly reduced its water footprint in production processes. Thanks to upgrades and innovations in the water treatment plant at the Cubillos factory, the company has cut its consumption of municipal water from the industrial park by 66.5%. This achievement not only demonstrates that investments in water treatment yield positive returns for the company’s operations but also marks major progress in implementing circular economy practices.
The energy mix powering the El Bayo factory has shifted toward renewable sources, driven by the new photovoltaic canopy installed in 2024. This 9,000-panel solar array has an annual generation capacity of 5.97 GWh, preventing the emission of 1,500 tons of CO₂ into the atmosphere. By the end of 2024, the plant had already produced 1.66 GWh of renewable electricity, reducing emissions by 415 tons of CO₂—equivalent to the carbon sequestration of 27,700 trees.
These improvements are complemented by investments in production equipment maintenance and modernization, aimed at enhancing energy efficiency. Combined with optimized transport logistics, these efforts form the backbone of our decarbonization strategy, moving steadily toward net-zero emissions in the coming years.
Innovation as a Driving Force
Innovation is a constant in our daily operations—sometimes in disruptive ways, as we explore new frontiers of knowledge and technology. A prime example is our participation in ARCO, Madrid’s premier art fair, where we showcased the winning project of the Lexus Art Car competition. Javier Prado López, a software engineer at our company, collaborated on this initiative, presenting an artistic and technical reinterpretation of the Lexus LBX—one of the Japanese automaker’s latest models. Prado and his teammate, Pablo Diego Pastor, developed part of the project at TVITEC’s factory, wrapping the Lexus LBX in recycled glass to achieve an artistic and technical performance that earned them the competition’s top prize.
Design is one of the disciplines inspiring us to explore the possibilities of glass in building façades. This commitment to innovation is further highlighted by our participation in Materials Matter at Barcelona’s prestigious Disseny Hub. The exhibition, featuring over 700 pieces, showcases groundbreaking materials and contemporary design objects—including curved glass elements developed by Cricursa for major architectural projects.
The products from our factories align with sustainable construction, helping buildings drastically reduce their lifetime energy consumption, cut emissions, and enhance comfort and quality.
